How to Use the Google Sheets Work Order Template
Follow the steps below to use the Google Sheets work order template.
1. Fill in Work Order Details
WO (Work Order Number): Assign a unique identifier for each work order. This helps in tracking and referencing specific orders.
Type: Specify the type of work to be done. This could be maintenance, repair, installation, etc.
Date Issued: Enter the date when the work order is issued.
Property: Indicate the property for which the work order is created. This could be a specific location, building, or unit.
Vendor: Write down the name of the vendor or contractor assigned to the job.
Est. Cost: Estimate the total cost of completing the work order.
2. Describe the Project or Job
Provide a detailed description of the work to be done. Include any specific instructions or requirements for completing the job.
3. Manage Completion and Costs
Date Completed: Enter the date when the work order was fully completed.
Materials & Equipment: List all materials and equipment used for the job, and include their total cost.
Labor: Enter the cost of labor for completing the work order.
Total Invoice: After the job is completed, fill in the total invoice amount, including all costs incurred.
Date Paid: Record the date when the invoice was paid.
4. Review and Update
Regularly review and update the spreadsheet as work progresses, from the issuance of the work order through to completion and payment. This helps in keeping track of costs, progress, and any adjustments needed along the way.
