Our drivers just like to hand write everything. We had 6 FTEs just processing driver tickets until we found Lido.

Scanning terminology piles up fast: flatbed, ADF, scan-to-email, mobile capture, TWAIN drivers. All of it concerns getting paper into pixels, which is the easy half. The hard half is getting pixels into data, and that is the half Lido handles. Trucking companies photograph driver tickets at the dock, medical practices scan requisition forms, CPA firms feed in stacks of client records from whatever copier they own. Lido reads the images, extracts the fields that matter, and writes them to Excel, Google Sheets, CSV, or an API. The scanner you already have is enough.

Frequently asked questions

What is an OCR scanner?

Two parts: a scanner captures an image of the page, and OCR turns that image into machine-readable data. Lido is the second part, and it accepts images from anywhere: a flatbed, an office copier, or the phone in your pocket. No dedicated device required.

Do I need to install an OCR scanning app?

No. Lido runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing to update. Upload from any laptop and the results come back as structured data, not just a text layer.

Can my phone replace a document scanner?

For OCR purposes, yes. A phone photo of a page carries plenty of detail for extraction. Shadows, tilt, and curled pages get handled, and any field the model is unsure about arrives flagged with a confidence score.

How accurate is it on real-world scans?

99%+ field-level accuracy, proven on ugly documents. Disney Trucking runs 360,000 handwritten driver ticket pages a year through Lido, work that previously took six full-time data entry employees. Office scans are easy by comparison.

Can the OCR scanner output Excel or CSV?

Yes, and this is the point where Lido differs from scanner software: the output is a structured spreadsheet, not a searchable PDF. Send results to Excel, Google Sheets, or CSV, or pull them through the API.

The scanner is your phone. The data entry is ours.
