How To Change Your Shopify Store Name [2024 Tutorial]

The name of a brand greatly impacts the reputation of its store. This is why a lot of businesses tend to change their store names from time to time which is also the case for Shopify stores. However, many owners are still not about the process of doing this. Instead, they are forced to create a new Shopify store and start from scratch. 

With this article, let me teach you how you can change your Shopify store easily. I will be discussing about the two ways of doing this!

Change Store Name on the Shopify Admin Website

Using a Shopify Admin Website is ideal for those who prefer using their computer for their business accounts.

  1. Before anything else, make sure that you are logged in your Shopify Admin Website.
  2. Click the “Settings” at the bottom left corner of the navigation menu.
  3. From the Settings menu, click the General to see your store details.

  1. At the “Store name” section, you will see your current store name. All you have to do is delete it and replace it with a new one.

  1. Lastly, click the “Save” button in the upper-right section of the page.

Change Store Name on the Shopify Mobile App

If you find navigating mobile applications easier for you and follow the steps below. This will work on both iOs and android, so you don’t need to worry.

  1. After you open the Shopify mobile application on your phone, look for the store icon on the bottom right corner and click it.

  1. A menu will appear at the upper left corner and you need to click the “Settings”.
  2. From the store settings section, click the “General” and it will lead to “Store details”.

  1. In the “Store name” field, you will be able to see your current store name. Delete it and replace the store name with a new one.

  1. Click the “SAVE” button placed at the top of the page and that’s it!
