How to Collect Email Address in Google Forms in 4 Easy Steps
1. Navigate to the Settings tab.
In the Google Forms editor, you will see several tabs at the top. Click on “Settings.”
2. Click on the arrow-down symbol next to “Responses.”
Expand the dropdown menu next to the “Collect email addresses” setting by clicking on it.
3. Choose to collect verified email addresses.
Select the “Verified” option from the dropdown menu. This will require respondents to sign in to their Google account, and their email address will be automatically recorded with their form response.
4. Alternatively, you can also opt to collect emails manually by clicking on “Responder Input.”
If you prefer to allow respondents to manually enter their email, select “Responder input” instead of “Verified.” This should add a field to your form where respondents can type in their email address, which doesn’t require them to be signed into a Google account.
