How to Delete a Recurring Event in Google Calendar

Follow the steps below to delete recurring events in Google Calendar.

1. Find and Select Your Recurring Event in the Calendar

Scroll through your calendar or use the search function to locate the specific recurring event you want to delete. Look for the event's title and the date it occurs.

2. Open Event Details by Clicking on the Event

Once you find the event, click or tap on it to open a detailed view. This view shows you the time, participants, and other details of the event.

3. Delete the Event by Clicking the Trash Can Icon

In the detailed view, locate the trash can icon, usually found at the top of the window. Click or tap this icon to initiate the deletion process for the event.

4. Choose Which Recurrences to Delete - Single or All Future Events

After clicking the delete icon, a prompt will ask if you want to delete only the selected occurrence or all future occurrences. Make your selection based on what you need.

5. Opt to Send or Skip Cancellation Notifications to Guests

If your event has guests, you'll be asked whether you want to send them a cancellation email. You can add a custom message or simply click 'Send' to notify them or choose not to send any notification.

A confirmation dialog box 'Event deleted' will appear.
